Dr. Timir Baran Ghoshal is a dedicated and resourceful engineering geologist with close to 25 years’ experience in the field of Engineering Geology and Landslide study. He has done his M.SC. and Ph.D. in Geology from Jadavpur University Kolkata. After completion of his Ph.D. in 1991 he joined GSI, Gangtok, Sikkim where he was associated in systematic geological mapping, mineral exploration and landslide study.

He transferred to Engineering Geology Division, Kolkata in 1997. He has been attached with various stages of geotechnical investigation of important hydro-electric project in India and abroad, He has a proven track record of a very successful engineering geologist having immense contribution in the field of engineering geology and different type of landslide study in the country. He has also published many research papers in national and International Journals having very high citation score.
