The objective of this physical congregation is to provide an interactive knowledge platform to deliberate upon recent developments/trends in the field of surveys, investigations, challenges, and solutions of various infrastructure development projects about water resources development, hydropower, and road/ rail communication projects, challenging geohazard, and environmental-related issues relevant to ensuring safe and sustainable development in our country. Keeping the above in view, ISEG in association with GSI will be organising a 2-day event titled EGCON 2022: International Conference on Engineering Geology and Geotechniques for Safe and Sustainable Infrastructures in the City of Joy – Kolkata, India during 16-17 November 2022.

EGCON 2022 invites all geoscientists, engineers, geotechnical experts, planners, and administrators to join the event in large numbers for making this event a successful and purposeful one. EGCON 2022 has already finalised diverse conference themes covering almost all the relevant branches of Engineering Geology and Geotechniques that are continuously being pursued and practiced by the experts while designing and constructing critical infrastructures more safely and sustainably.
