Dr. Gopal Dhawan has been actively associated with investigation, planning, design and construction of several Hydro Power and Infrastructure projects in Indian Subcontinent in a carrier spanning over 40 years.

He superannuated as CMD, MECL. Before joining MECL, Dr Dhawan served NHPC as Executive Director (Geo Tech). Presently, he is Member Panel of Experts with NTPC, Member Project Review Panel Visnugad- Pipalkoti Project of THDC and working as Senior Consulting Engineering Geologist for several companies.
